Welcome to the Princeton Alumni Association of New England (PANE), a volunteer organization of alumni, students, parents and friends of Princeton University in the greater Boston area.  PANE provides opportunities for members and thousands of local alumni to stay connected to one another and the University through cultural, educational, networking, athletic, social and community service events.  PANE is one of the largest and most active of Princeton’s regional alumni associations.  We sponsor a wide variety of activities to try to appeal to the full range of alumni and their families from the most recent graduates to the Old Guard, publicize Princeton-associated events, and organize transportation to and from Reunions.

For generations, PANE has flourished through the efforts of loyal, energetic and fun-loving New England alums, and we welcome new organizers and volunteers and new ideas into the mix.  Spend some time on our website to see what we’ve been up to, become a member, and consider ways that you might be interested in acting locally with the Princeton family.  For example:

  • Attend informal breakfasts or early evening gatherings with accomplished alumni
  • Spend a few hours at cultural events, such as guided museum tours, enjoying the beautiful New England scenery on a hike or walk, or at a happy hour
  • Interview local applicants to Princeton through the Alumni Schools Committee
  • Participate in career discussions and networking events
  • Volunteer at community service events
  • Cheer on Princeton teams competing in the Boston area or at gatherings to watch the Tigers on television
  • Gather at receptions before and after Princeton sporting events, including the famous Tiger Tent at the Princeton-Harvard football game every other fall and the post-game reception for the Princeton-Harvard men’s basketball game every winter
  • Serve on the Boston committee of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations
  • Join monthly inclusive discussions of race at Club Diversity
  • Play in the summer softball league

We are excited about our upcoming plans—especially the continuing growth of our Women’s, Grad Alumni, and Young Alumni networking efforts.  We hope to see you at our events and invite you to bring us event and community service ideas or volunteer for a leadership position.

Please check out the Princeton in Cambridge/Boston (PANE) Facebook page for more information and news.

You can join PANE directly from our website. Standard alumni dues are $40 per year, $30 for parents of current undergraduates, $25 for members of classes before their fifth-year reunion, and free for the newest class, current students and members of the Old Guard.

If you have any questions about PANE, have ideas for events, or want to become more involved, please e-mail me at donsteinberg62@gmail.com

Three Cheers for Old Nassau!
