Alumni Pre-Read at the Boston Athenaeum
April 27 (Thursday)
6:00 – 8:00 PM

Meet the author of this year’s Princeton Pre-read book:
Jordan Salama ’19
Every Day the River Changes:  Four Weeks Down the Magdalena
and discuss this book with your fellow alumni.

PANE invites you to an Alumni Pre-read event at the Boston Athenaeum in the heart of Boston.  It should be a fun, festive, and enlightening experience for all.
About the book:  The book is the story of Jordan’s nearly 1,000-mile adventure down Colombia’s Magdalena River—including the people he met and the questions his trip raised about ecology, culture, politics, and life in this war-torn region of the world.
About the Athenaeum:  The Athenaeum has been at the historic center of Boston’s literary life for more than 2 centuries:  Think Hawthorne, Emerson, Alcott, Oliver Wendall Holmes, and other illustrious Bostonians.  Now you can join us in their newly expanded space in this inspiring setting.
About the Pre-read:  The Pre-read is a new tradition begun by President Eisgruber in 2013 to help orient freshman to the Princeton community by reading and discussing a book in common.  The tradition is now being expanded to include alumni in the process.  So join in!
A special note for Recent Alums (Class of 2013 and later).  Puchase of an in-person ticket will include a one-year PANE membership at no additional cost.  (Please enter your class year in the "Special Instructions" box when checking out from the online store)
