On May 12th, we were finally able to return to an in-person ceremony to honor the Winner and Certificate recipients of the Princeton Prize in Race Relations for the region as part of the annual PANE celebration. This evening represented the culmination of the decision making process during which the more than 15 alum, as well as a couple of former Prize winners had to whittle down the rich applicant pool down to just a select few. Hearing the recipients speak about their projects and how they are working to improve race relations in their communities only confirmed our impressions about these young people - they are truly special and the work they are doing is making a difference.

A sincere thank you to the keynote speaker for the evening, Danielle Allen ‘93, who made our honorees feel special, and who delivered a compelling personal testimonial about how the great divisions in our society that have occurred over the past 50 years (from the Wealth Gap to the Education Gap to the Employment Gap) call for us all to step up and work to combat and eradicate the disparities.
