PANE had the incredible honor of co-sponsoring an evening with Maria Ressa '86,  2021 Nobel Peace Prize recipient.

This event began with a screening of A Thousand Cuts followed by a discussion with Maria.

If you missed the event, you can now view the video at https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/film/a-thousand-cuts/

A Thousand Cuts is an award-winning documentary of Maria's work.  Nowhere is the worldwide erosion of democracy, fueled by social media disinformation campaigns,

more starkly evident than in the authoritarian regime of Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. Journalist Maria Ressa places the tools of the

free press—and her freedom—on the line in defense of truth and democracy.

Produced, written and directed by Ramona S. Diaz (IMELDA, MOTHERLAND).
