PANE, in collaboration with the alumni associations of Northern Ohio, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, is thrilled to offer a special opportunity to hear from Raechel Anne Jolie, queer feminist activist and author of Rust Belt Femme. Rust Belt Femme, selected as one of NPR's Best Books of 2020 and winner of the 2020 Independent Publisher Awards' gold medal for LGBTQ+ nonfiction, is "an exploration of trauma, queer identity and determination in the life of a Midwest kid trapped in a cycle of poverty and tragedy."Ms. Jolie is currently touring in support of her book, and has graciously agreed to give a virtual talk to our alumni groups on Thursday, December 9 at 7 PM ET. The book talk will be followed by an optional "precept" opportunity to participate in a more intimate book discussion. As always, we encourage folks to shop local and alumni-owned where possible! Rust Belt Femme is available in Boston at (Tiger-owned!) Porter Square Books (https://www.portersquarebooks.com/book/9781953368041). Ohio folks, we are working to make the book available through Loganberry Books (http://www.loganberrybooks.com/).Please RSVP below; a Zoom link will be sent to you prior to the event. We hope to see you all there:Virtual Event Instructions:
