Martin Luther King Day of Service

 

When:  Monday, January 21 from 2-5pm.  

Where: Central Square.

The Kick Off will take place on the City Hall steps. Activities will be held at City Hall, the Senior Center, the YWCA, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and The Possible Project

 

Come volunteer at the 9th Annual Cambridge Day of Service to celebrate Martin Luther King Day and honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy.

Join in for an afternoon of hands-on service projects that benefit Cambridge and Somerville residents in need. Make fleece scarves & blankets for homeless children and adults. Make Valentines for elders and veterans. Sort food, winter clothing, children’s books. Assemble toiletry kits & emergency room activity bags.

Don’t come empty handed: Bring non-perishable food, gently used winter clothing or a children’s book.

All ages are welcome! (Children should be accompanied by adults, please.)
