Book discussion with Dori Jones Yang

Join us for a book talk with the author followed by sweet treats!

Dori Jones Yang '76 will be discussing her new  novel The Forbidden Temptation of Baseball at the Lexington Public Library on October 21st.  The book is based on a little known historical incident in the 1870s when the Emperor of China sent 120 boys to study in New England.  Warned not to become “too American,” young Leong comes to love baseball.
Written for young readers (5th to 8th graders), it is a story that nonetheless will appeal to all ages.

After the main book discussion, PANE invites you to join Dori and other alumni for a casual get-together over bubble tea at nearby Sweet Thyme Cafe.
Date: October 21st at 2 pm.
Location: Cary Memorial Library at 1874 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, MA
