PANE Night with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra

PANE is excited to arrange a group outing to hear the Longwood Symphony Orchestra with their large contingent of Tiger alums.  The orchestra is excited to kick off the 2023-2024 LSO season on October 28 with their new Music Director, Jotaro Nakano.

The community partner for the October concert is Project STEP (String Training Education Program), which provides talented young musicians that identify with historically underrepresented groups in classical music with comprehensive music instruction.  Project STEP envisions a world in which the classical music profession reflects the racial and ethnic diversity of our communities.  100% of Project STEP graduates have gone on to college or conservatory.

The soloist for this concert is Mariana Green Hill, Artistic Advisor of Project STEP.  She received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the Juilliard School, and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Mannes College of Music.  She has been a guest soloist with the Memphis, New Jersey, and Dtroit Symphony Orchestras and the Boston Pops.  She is a member of the Young Eight, a group of emerging African American artists who perform chamber music throughout the country.
