Meet Author Walter Kirn '83

Book Signing & Reception in Portsmouth, NH

Meet Princeton grad Walter Kirn’83, magazine journalist and author 7 previous books including UP IN THE AIR, at a book signing reception following his appearance in the Writers in the Loft author series at The Music Hall in Portsmouth, NH.

Kirn will share his new book, BLOOD WILL OUT, his shocking story of being conned by a sociopath masquerading as a Rockefeller.  An In Cold Blood for our time  —  part confessional memoir, true crime reporting, and cultural speculation  —  Kirn’s true tale takes us on a bizarre and haunting journey from the posh private clubrooms of Manhattan to the hard-boiled courtrooms and prisons of Los Angeles, exposing the layers beneath the Great American con. BLOOD WILL OUT was first serialized in The New Yorker and has been named a top 10 book for winter 2014 by USA Today.

Walter Kirn is a regular reviewer for The New York Times Book Review, and his work appears in The Atlantic, The New York Times Magazine, Vogue, Time, New York, GQ and Esquire. He is the author of six previous works of fiction: My Hard Bargain: Stories; She Needed Me; Thumbsucker; Up in the AirMission to America; and The Unbinding .  After graduating from  Princeton, he attended Oxford University on a scholarship from the Keasbey Foundation. He lives in Livingston, Montana.
