Princeton Prize - Hear Ye, Hear Ye
The Princeton Prize Is Returning for its Ninth Year to New England

To past, present and potential Boston PPRR Committee people

The Kickoff Meeting for the 2012 Boston Princeton Prize in Race Relations Committee will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011, from 5:30 to 8:00 PM in the Partners Healthcare System, Inc. offices of Brent Henry ’69 in Suite 1150 of the Prudential Tower, in downtown Boston.   A light buffet will be provided.

The mission of the Princeton Prize is: "To promote harmony, respect, and understanding among people of different races by identifying and recognizing high school age students whose efforts have had a significant, positive effect on race relations in their schools or communities."   The Prize is awarded based on the significance of the applicant’s activity to the cause of promoting racial harmony, the importance of the applicant’s role in the activity, and the scope and impact of the activity in the applicant’s community.

2012 will be the ninth year that the Princeton Prize has been offered in Massachusetts.  All decisions regarding the Prize are made by committees of alumni who live in one of the 23 cities or regions where the Prize will be offered. The October 6 meeting will be informational and social as well as operational.  All members of the Princeton community who are interested in learning about or helping to achieve the goals of the Princeton Prize are invited to join us.  An agenda and detailed directions will be sent out a week before the meeting.   For further information, please contact Jim Parmentier at jparmen@aol.com or 207-721-8428.
PPRR Co-Chairs:  Fred Dashiell ’76, Murph Shapiro ’64, Jim Parmentier ’66.
