Hosted by the APGA, the Toronto Chapter of the Princeton Alumni Association, and the Princeton Alumni Executive Committee’s Careers and Networking Ad Hoc Committee

 

Whether you are seeking to learn about the unique career paths of Princeton PhDs, to share insights from your own career, or want to meet other graduate alumni in your area, we welcome alumni from all backgrounds and industries to join. 

 

We will begin with a ten minute fireside chat between Maggie Debelius, PhD, *00, and Colette Johnson, PhD, *18, followed by networking breakout sessions.

Dr. Debelius, *00 English, is the Director of Faculty Initiatives at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) at Georgetown University. She also serves as Teaching Professor in the English Department and a Professor and Director of Graduate Studies for the M.A. Program in Learning, Design, and Technology. She is the author or co-author of numerous books and articles about careers and graduate education, including, (with Susan Basalla) So What Are You Going to Do with That?: Finding Careers Outside Academia (University of Chicago, 2007 and 2014).

Dr. Johnson, *18 English, is director of strategic initiatives at Ithaka S+R (Strategy and Research), a not-for-profit research and strategic advising firm focused on the higher education sector. She provides leadership and support for mission-critical strategic projects. She received her PhD in English from Princeton University and holds bachelor’s degrees in English and Art History from the University of California, Irvine. She is a member of the Princeton Center for Career Development’s Advisory Council, the Princeton Alumni Council Executive Committee, and chairs an Ad Hoc Committee on Careers and Networking.
