Jose Mateo Ballet Theater - Performance of Absurdus and Reception
This event has been canceled.

Please note: This event has been canceled.

Please join us in another interesting and exciting event at the JMBT with a performance of Absurdus followed by a wine and cheese reception.  Absurdus is the culminating event of the season at JMBT and will feature two ballets.  "A Mateo favorite and a spring premiere finale - ballets that will transport audiences to a world that is neither real nor purely abstract.  One that borders on the wildly illogical but is hauntingly familiar and compellingly dynamic."

Performance: 4:00 - 5:30 pm
Wine and Cheese Reception: 5:30 - 6:00

1151 Massachusetts Avenue

José Mateo Ballet Theatre (JMBT) is a vibrant and diverse community of artists, arts educators, students, audience members, and partnering organizations working at the intersection of artistic excellence, innovation, and social change. Directed by Cuban-born founder José Mateo (Princeton ’73), the company developed from a single studio dance school (founded in 1986) into the largest minority led performing arts organization in Greater Boston.  The organization consists of a Performing Company, Ballet Training School and project called Dance for World Community.  For more about the theater: http://www.ballettheatre.org/
