Welcome to the Princeton Association of New England - PANE New Admit Reception & "Neuroscience and Everyday Life"

PANE New Admit Reception & "Neuroscience and Everyday Life"
Hear Professor Samuel Wang speak, and meet the newly admitted students to Princeton.

Thousands of anxious Princeton applicants learned on March 30 if they have been admitted to the Class of 2015. The Princeton Association of New England is delighted to invite newly admitted students from the Boston area to learn more about Princeton at an event on Thursday, April 14th. We hope many local alumni will be able to attend a reception for these prospective Princetonians starting at 6:30 pm, followed by a talk by Princeton Professor Samuel Wang. Professor Wang, a neuroscientist in the Department of Molecular Biology, will speak on "Neuroscience and Everyday Life." The event will be held at the offices of Jackson Lewis, located at 75 Park Plaza, 4th Floor, Boston, MA. There is no charge for the event, but space is limited. Please RSVP online through the link below. We hope to see you on April 14th!

Sam Wang, Ph.D., is an associate professor of neuroscience and molecular biology. Before becoming a professor at Princeton, he studied at Caltech, Stanford, and Bell Labs, and spent a year as a legislative fellow for the United States Senate Committee on Labor and Human Resources. At Caltech he graduated with honor in physics at the age of 19, making him the youngest member of his graduating class. He has published over fifty articles on the brain in leading scientific journals and has received numerous awards, including an NSF CAREER award and Young Investigator awards from the Keck Foundation and the Sloan Foundation. He is co-author of the award-winning book “Welcome to Your Brain: Why You Lose Your Car Keys but Never Forget How to Drive”. His research has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, National Public Radio, and the Fox News Channel. He and his wife, a physician, live in Princeton, with their daughter, who is two.
